How CBD Supports a Healthy Lifestyle

In recent years, social norms and laws have adjusted enough that people can see some ways in which cannabis supports a healthy lifestyle. One of the biggest reasons people love cannabis for health reasons is because of CBD.

What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the two most popular cannabinoids in cannabis (alongside THC). In recent years, it’s found its way into a whole bunch of different health products, ranging from lotions to tinctures. You can even find CBD edibles. Of course, you can also still get cannabidiol the old fashioned way: from the cannabis flower. CBD is a natural organic compound that occurs naturally in cannabis, but it also works with your body’s endocannabinoid system to supplement the regulation of multiple bodily functions.

CBD vs. THC
CBD and THC are the two most popular cannabinoids by far, but they have very different effects. Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive. In other words, CBD doesn’t make people feel high or intoxicated. Depending on what you’re looking for in your cannabis experience, this can be either good or bad. Some people who don’t like THC still appreciate CBD because they don’t want to feel intoxicated, they need to pass a drug test, or they’re very sensitive to THC.

Benefits of CBD
One of the biggest benefits of CBD is that it offers a way to enjoy some of the effects of cannabis even for people that have to pass a drug test. Since drug tests are testing for THC, CBD that is 0.3% or less won’t register.

  • Pain – Some people have said that CBD helps them manage pain, and they prefer to use this natural supplement instead of pharmaceutical drugs that could bring nasty side effects.
  • Sleep – One of the most popular reasons people use CBD is to fall asleep at night.
  • Mood – Much like how people say it helps them sleep, a lot of people say that CBD can help them calm down by reducing anxiety and depression.
  • Anxiety - GAD(Generalized Anxiety Disorder) Some Study and people were observed as having lower behavioral signs of anxiety. Their physiological symptoms of anxiety, such as increased heart rate, also improved.
